Arguably some of the best food in the city is to be found in this stylish, stand-alone restaurant located underneath the Arora Hotel, where clever lighting enhances the smooth marble, wood & leather interior. It’s an appropriate backdrop for cooking that blends urban style with regional produce, with starters such as Isle of Man hand-dived scallops teamed with smoked pork belly & salsify puree, or beetroot & Delamere goats’ cheese croquettes & cherry tomato jam, featuring on the menu. Mains take in Goosnargh duck breast, rosemary potato rosti & grillotine cherry sauce, as well as pan-fried halibut with warm pousse, piquillo, lemon & baby caper salad. Expect elegant takes on traditional desserts, too, say Manchester tart & Grand Marnier souffle.
