If you like seriously good seafood in a relaxed and welcoming environment, then Glasgow's Two Fat Ladies is the place to go. Not only is the food great, with young chef David Monaghan's sure and innovative touch in the kitchen, but it's also unpretentious, friendly and good value for money, and, with an open kitchen at the front of the restaurant, you can see it all happening. The pre/post theatre menu (£10.95/£12.95 for two/three courses) offers plenty of choice, though from the a la carte you can savour starters such as smoked haddock risotto, followed by main courses of seared scallops with sage and chestnut stuffing, or medallions of beef with haggis and black pudding, then desserts including either raspberry pavlova and dark chocolate and mint pot.
