This bright Italian brasserie behind Leeds town hall affirms its name with lively service & food that zings. A favourite at weekends with the post-concert crowd, it draws medics & legal types at lunchtimes & a wider mix at night, when tables can be tightly packed. Large windows attract the fashionistas & the menu is not without its flourishes: agnolotti giganti stuffed with porcini & served with a wild mushroom sauce flavoured with truffle oil, or veal with French beans & radicchio. Fish is taken seriously & the best bruschetta in town is to be found here, along with an enterprising wine list. Front-of-house service is directed with persuasive charm.
