Acres of beautiful parkland surround this magnificent hall, where real log fires warm your toes in winter & comfy sofas ensure a grand but relaxing experience. The award-winning restaurant attracts golfing ladies-who-lunch as well as formal diners with its voluminous a la carte, heralding French classics like provincial steamed mussels with white wine & onion broth or venison with a rich, dark chocolate sauce. Delicious desserts such as creamed rice pudding with Armagnac prunes & baked custard tart with nutmeg ice cream are worth the trip alone. The wine cellar is excellent & you can enjoy coffee & petit fours back on the sofas.
