Square Meal review of Moss Nook:
Moss Nook’s grand decor and classic cooking add up to a restaurant that epitomises many peoples definition of ‘posh’ eating out. The menu reads a little like a Robert Carrier book from the 1970’s with heaps of heavy saucing, bountiful luxury ingredients, and lashings of alcohol employed. Tournedos Rossini and grilled Dover sole are kept alive here and, although their styling may be dated, execution is consistently good and it’s somehow reassuring to find that places like this still exist.
