Square Meal review of Terre a Terre:
One of Brighton’s best (and for one impressed reader ‘possibly the best vegetarian restaurant I have ever been to’), this just-off-the-seafront restaurant is housed in a large, light space that blends cool contemporary looks with a laidback air, imaginative wine list & astonishing Asian-edged food. Sublime spicing & inspired combinations can be seen in starters such mushroom cappuccino & parmesan doughnuts with porcini salt, or blue cheese soufflé & walnut pepper salt, & mains of rösti topped with buttered spinach served with cream garlic & nutmeg, a poached egg, melted cheese & smoked tapenade tomato. There’s also the option of trying starters & main courses tapas-style. Who said vegetarian cookery is dull? ‘Worth the trek from London just to go for the evening’.
