Square Meal Review of The Cosy Club Cardiff ?

This fast-growing group offers brash brasserie food delivered via a please-all menu that is a roll call of various burgers, fish & chips, Caesar salad & New York-style steak sandwich bolstered by tapas of patatas bravas or falafel with tomato-hummous dip. Specials could run to pork chop with Thai-spice rub, braised rice, grilled aubergine and peppers. Scrumptious puds such as sticky toffee pudding or knickerbocker glory are well worth sampling – if you can manage them. All-day brunch also gets the thumbs-up.

It’s not the kind of place I like to go for drinks in the evening (owing to the dining element – I prefer to stick to just booze on my boozy night’s out), but it’s great for a brunch with the boyfriend or a long lunch with friends...
