Square Meal Review of Burger Meats Bun ?

The two guys behind this wittily named joint met while working at the prestigious Peat Inn in Fife, but decided to forego Michelin-starred pomp in favour of honest street food when they opened their own gaff. Red banquettes, a multi-coloured blackboard menu and photos of the grub on bare brick walls create a funky diner vibe that suits the short line-up of juicy burgers (made from Scottish beef), plus ‘clucking’ BLTs and ’magic mushroom’ patties (‘nae meat’). Three kinds of wings are also on offer (Chinese, Seoul and buffalo), chips come with cheese or chilli (or both), and there are doughnuts with dipping sauce to finish. Beers from Boston USA, Jamaica and ‘just down the road’ share the billing with boozy shakes, a fistful of wines and house cocktails such as treacle (rum, bitters, apple juice and sugar syrup).
