Walking into Meals at Heal’s is like wandering into a grown-up playhouse: curlicues are cut into the kindergarten-style pink & blue walls, the furniture is all blond wood & so are the floors. Part of the Peyton & Byrne stable, the café kickstarts its day with breakfast of muffins or organic porridge with heather honey, while lunches run from pear & beetroot salad with goats’ cheese & honey mustard dressing to Irish stew & haddock fishcakes. There are also burgers – perfect for placating the kids if they complain about traipsing round acres of beds & sofas. There is a plentiful supply of cakes, tarts & pastries (available from the dinky bakery downstairs), & afternoon tea (3pm onwards) is a blessing for tired feet & frayed tempers.
Travel to Meals at Heal's in style with London's leading minicab firm Addison Lee.
