Meals at Heal's

The next time you’re having a grey day on Tottenham Court Road, treat yourself to cake & a cuppa at Oliver Peyton’s fantastically colourful tearoom. Meals might be a little tricky to find (go to the first floor, just beyond the soft furnishings), but once here it’s rather like stepping into a giant iced cake with candy colours & pastels all around. The Peyton & Byrne bakery downstairs supplies all manner of muffins, tarts & other good things, which are also available to grab-&-go. If a grown-up tea party of scones & finger sandwiches doesn’t fit the bill, you could choose from the decent array of more filling savoury dishes – organic chicken salad followed by Irish stew or a haddock fishcake, for instance.
