In spite of its out-of-the-way location, the bar at Camino has to be King’s Cross’s worst-kept secret. By day there’s a steady trickle of punters, but come evening, it’s absolutely heaving. Exposed brick, rough wood & a vibrant mural give the place a warm vibe, with big barrels for perching your beer on. Estrella lager from Barcelona is on tap, along with some regional bottles & even a Spanish cider (El Gaitero); alternatively, consult the tasting notes on the all-Spanish wine list, which has an excellent selection by the glass or carafe. If you’re peckish, munch on something from the excellent tapas menu (try the ham croquetas) – although there’s more choice in the restaurant proper. The courtyard area is an excellent alfresco option – great for a sunny weekend brunch.
