Handily located near the Westferry DLR station, this friendly neighbourhood restaurant has built up a loyal following of locals. Set over two floors, Spice Merchants serves up traditional curry house fare, as well as chef’s specials such as lamb haleem cooked in a blend of red spices, lentils & fried ginger. A flight of stairs leads from the tiny ground-floor bar to the upstairs dining room, which is modern & simply furnished with brown & cream upholstered chairs – a pleasant spot for a tasty Indian fix in relaxed surroundings.
