Ran

Ran is one of Soho’s best Korean restaurants. The simple, contemporary decor of cream walls, black & white pictures of Korea & glass divides suggests a certain quality that is continued in the food. The endlessly patient & helpful staff will talk you through classics such as stir-fried kimchi (pickled cabbage with strips of pork or beef) & chungol (stewed vegetables, tofu & your chosen meat or seafood simmering in a cast iron pot), all of which taste fresh & authentic. The tabletop barbecues are also a fun way to eat meat & veg. The only downside is that sometimes the atmosphere can be a bit flat.
