Recreating the look & feel of a 1930s Parisian brasserie, Chez Gerard is styled with brass & dark-wood fittings, closely spaced tables & snug booths. The menu covers such Gallic classics as French onion soup, snails in garlic butter, salad nicoise & beef bourguignon, with the range of steak-frites receiving most praise. Slow service at busy times can be a problem, though a compact pre-theatre menu helps.
