Square Meal review of DeVigne at The Mandeville Hotel:
The interior of DeVigne remains as flamboyant as ever, with its ornately patterned glass bar that lights up in pinks & blues, as well as old-fashioned portraits that have been given a lick of neon lipstick. A recent spruce-up to the cocktail list has seen the introduction of a concept called the ‘taster tray’ – five different cocktails served in double shot glasses for sharing among friends. Elsewhere you’ll find the house cocktail, the Mandeville Martini, made with Magellan, a new blue gin from France which lends the drink an eerie azure glow & peppery kick. Bar bites include filo tiger prawns with sweet chilli & coriander dip & a choice of sandwiches, but it’s the drinks & the decor that people come for. Mojito lovers in particular should pay DeVigne a visit – it claims to have the largest selection of the cocktail in London.
