Square Meal review of Peninsula:
Initially, your reward for having traipsed out to the retail-park, no-man’s land of North Greenwich is deflating: a 430-cover dining room devoid of character at the base of a Holiday Inn Express. But stick around as the dim sum is deservedly this vast restaurant’s main claim to fame, as reflected in the mobs of Chinese locals on weekends. You won’t be disappointed by the rest of the Cantonese menu, either. Moreish starters such as cashew nuts & water chestnuts in yellow bean sauce & smoked shredded chicken, seasoned simply but effectively with salt & pepper, are just hints of the carefully flavoured menu. Service is speedy & efficient, if sometimes brusque.
