Square Meal review of Cottons:
As you might expect from a Caribbean restaurant that specialises in rum cocktails, the atmosphere at Cottons is energetic & effervescent. The food is equally vibrant: there’s Boston jerk pork with fried yams, coq-au-rhum (chicken slow-cooked in peppercorn & cream sauce finished with rum) & whole butterflied sea bass with callaloo & fresh ginger in a coconut & papaya sauce. The small bar at the front gets increasingly packed as the evening wears on & Reggae Rum Punches are washed down alongside Caribbean beers, while DJs step up to the decks & the crowd starts shaking its thang.
