Square Meal review of Suze:
This popular wine bar, a short stroll from Selfridges, has the lived-in look of an old French provincial bistro, but its soul is from a different hemisphere entirely – New Zealand to be precise, with a generous pinch of Oz thrown in. The Suze in question is a Kiwi, Susan Glynn who runs a tight & jovial ship. We like its terrace on summer days with a glass of Stump Jump, a Riesling/Sauvignon Blanc blend, sparkling Lindauer Special Reserve, or antipodean lagers such as Speight’s & Hahn. In winter, the cosy interior is the place to enjoy Pacific Rim cooking & a gutsy red from over 100 bottles that include familiar names such as Montana & Cloudy Bay.
