Square Meal review of Blue Jade:
This local favourite is a bit faded but the smiles are genuine & the kitchen is competent. More than just a roll-call of fishcakes, green curry & pad thai (all of which are well executed), the lengthy menu also takes in more unusual regional dishes, including delicious Isarn-style grilled chicken & the Chiang Mai speciality khao soi (curried noodles). The ‘steam boat’ seafood soup, which arrives in a traditional clay pot for sharing, is also worth trying.
