DUE TO OPEN LATE 2014
The latest venture from ever-creative Alan Yau (founder of Wagamama, Busaba Eathai, Hakkasan etc) sees him dipping his chopsticks into the world of gastropubs, following his takeover of The Endurance on Berwick Street. Situated just a dumpling’s throw from his former dim sum palace Yauatcha, this well-loved Soho boozer is being transformed into Duck & Rice – a new venue that is set to offer Chinese street food and Asian cocktails in a completely revamped setting. It sounds pretty cool and innovative, with a ground-floor bar in what was the original pub and a new upstairs area given over to a restaurant – although there will be loads of counter space too. A couple of private rooms and alfresco seating are also promised. More details to follow.
