Odin's Restaurant

Odin’s could teach some of the younger restaurants in Marylebone a thing or two. Consistently good reviews & over 40 years of trading say much for the pedigree of its staunchly traditional menu & decor. Paintings collected by late owner Peter Langan, including works from Odin’s regular David Hockney, fill every available inch of wall space, while antique furniture, statues & glass screens lend a clubby old-world atmosphere. The ambience is matched by a menu of hearty comfort food: poached egg with pea puree, roast Gressingham duck with sage & onion stuffing & apple sauce, & a chocolate pudding that was on the restaurant’s very first menu. Just don’t expect a young crowd: the loyal band of regulars that eat here tend to be significantly older than the restaurant itself.
