First Edition’s breezy all-white interior has a seaside feel that pulls in office workers for lunch & after-work drinks – with the terrace often packed to capacity. Two beach-hut style booths give the restaurant an air of fun & are great for private business lunches, while the informed & friendly service also comes in for applause. As you might expect from what some describe as the ‘washed-out New England setting’, the menu majors on seafood, with starters including langoustine bisque & crunchy coconut king prawns. Comforting fish pie & more sophisticated teriyaki tuna are among the mains. The list of New & Old World wines stays mainly within the £15-45 bracket.
