Square Meal review of The Atlas:
Award-winning food & old-fashioned public-house charm have kept this restored Victorian boozer on the map for a decade. The reasonably priced menu trots the globe turning out tasty pheasant & merguez sausage tagine & Tuscan lamb stew alongside less exotic but no less pleasing dishes such as pigeon breast salad with potatoes & soft-boiled eggs. The wine list, which unusually (but sensibly) changes by the season, is notably comprehensive, encompassing sweet choices & a good selection by the glass. Ale fiends find comfort in Adnams Broadside & local Fullers London Pride. Original wood panelling keeps the interiors welcoming & cosy, though in summer most head for the small, ivy-cloaked garden.
