It may be based in London SW11, but this newcomer’s Cornish moniker references the fact that most of its organic produce comes from suppliers and producers in that county: the result is a menu that aims to ‘fill the gap between gourmet fine dining and fast casual dining’ – according to owner Sat Bains. Don’t gasp – it’s not the two-Michelin-starred chef from Nottingham, but another chap running his first solo gaff after stints at Roast and the quintessentially English Hurlingham Club in Fulham. Expect keenly priced, eclectic dishes ranging from sweet chilli and tamarind-glazed swordfish with carrot and coriander ‘spaghetti’ to specially seasoned sirloin steak with hollandaise and chunky chips. Note that the restaurant will be open from noon every day from May 2014.
