During the day (until 5.30pm), Trunk – ‘a homage to the culinary notebook of the great British traveller abroad’ – follows its ‘world eclectic’ brief by serving up sharing platters, pulled pork baguettes, chicken satay, burgers, Caesar salad etc, while evening brings an extended menu packed with international dishes. Kick off with five-onion risotto or duck and chilli rolls, before tackling roast red mullet with scallop tartare and mango salsa, corn-fed chicken Kiev with pickled shallots or grilled lamb cutlets with herb couscous, feta and oregano dressing. Steaks are also available, while desserts might feature rhubarb pannacotta or iced vanilla parfait. There are plenty of international wines and cocktails at the bar, afternoon is served every day and Trunk also hosts regular DJ nights.
