DUE TO OPEN MID-SEPTEMBER 2014
Taking its cue from the ingredients-led Crystal Palace Market, this offshoot promises the freshest seafood from British waters and a selection of 28-day aged steaks and burgers cooked over a Josper grill – plus some extra thrills. Customers can pick their own species from the wet fish counter or dip into the all-day menu for breakfasts of eggs Benedict, raw plates (oysters, salmon carpaccio, sea bass ceviche) or one of the straightforward assembly jobs – white asparagus with shiitake mushrooms and a poached egg, for example. As well as a stripped-back, street-level canteen done out in 1930s style, the new venue will also feature a first-floor terrace and cinema lounge bar screening Brit classics such as Quadraphenia, while the basement will house a boutique bar with artwork, photos and cocktails harking back to the Chelsea glory days of Malcom McLaren and Vivienne Westwood.
