Like its sibling in Chelsea, this branch of Honky Tonk struts its stuff as a rock and roll restaurant and bar with a funky New York vibe. Expect polka-dot walls bedecked with vinyl records and vintage posters, old Elvis films projected on a big screen and balloon-shaped lights ‘floating’ on the ceiling, with a warmly lit bar dishing up some seriously satisfying barrel-aged cocktails – from marmalade margaritas to a berry and gin ‘shrub’ served in a Mason jar. Food-wise the menu focuses on diner classics and down-home grub – pork ribs, mac ‘n’ cheese, brisket roll, New England crab cakes and Cobb salad. Just add gussied-up servers clad in Daisy Dukes and plaid button-ups, plus a regular line-up of live bands belting out blues, jazz and rockabilly to the early hours at weekends.
