The (uninspiring) name says it all. This Fitzrovia joint churns out trendy, messy, American-style grub in an upmarket setting, with towering burgers (and everything else) served on marble slabs. Try the Spanish version (a spicy mix of chorizo and beef, gooey manchego, serrano ham and fragrant garlic aïoli), but steer clear of the bland Wagyu riff, which doesn't merit the clunky price tag, or the lazily presented sliders served with quarter-cuts of a full-sized bun. Also expect steaks and lobsters, as well as chicken club sandwiches, crispy duck salad and sides of seared foie gras, too. High ceilings and stark minimalism offset by glittery, spherical chandeliers and thumping world music create a snazzy space that might impress punters seeking more than just a dirty burger, although it’s worth looking elsewhere if you’re simply after a punchy quick fix.
