Glitzy US brand Sushisamba is bringing its exotic thrills to the awe-inspiring Heron Tower near Liverpool Street with a new venue at the top of the skyscraper – jaw-dropping views guaranteed. As the name might suggest, it’s a ‘cultural coalition’ of Japanese & South American influences, mixing sushi, sashimi ceviches, tuna tataki, Latin-style beef maki rolls & hearty moquecas (seafood stews) in a Brazilian carnival atmosphere with some Peruvian touches thrown in. The new offshoot will comprise two restaurants flanked by a pair of terraces, & the kitchen will deal in top-notch brunches as well as lunch & dinner.
