DUE TO OPEN SUMMER 2012
Covent Garden is fertile restaurant territory these days, & the latest entrepreneurs to be lured by its possibilities are Sam & Eddie Hart. Their original branch of Barrafina is already a hit in Soho, but they are planning to bring its tapas offering to Drury Lane in the coming months. The main action will take place at a long, linear table overlooking the open kitchen (complete with displays of produce), but the new outlet will also boast a basement function room with stainless steel, marble walls & an enclosed wine/sherry cellar. On the food front, expect classy charcuterie, artisan cheeses, tortillas & trademark tapas along the lines of salt cod fritters, stuffed courgette flowers, & morcilla with quails’ eggs – all backed by quality Spanish wines & sherries.
