Square Meal Review of Pix Soho ?

Having won over Covent Garden, Pix has brought its tapas charms to Soho. Like its elder sibling, this branch peddles pintxos (Basque nibbles on wooden skewers): you simply choose what you want from the counter-top display & save the sticks in a glass for staff to tally at the end. The offerings are similar to the Covent Garden joint – think goats’ cheese with anchovy, quince-coated chorizo on manchego, pork belly with apple & smoked potato, ‘diabolo’ meatballs & an Iberian take on bubble & squeak. With its easy-come, easy-go grazing concept, Pix is proving exceedingly popular with day-trippers, shoppers & the after-work media crowd – especially as the food is backed by a decent choice of Spanish wine & sherries.
