Beyond the ultra-cool steel & glass exterior of this ever-so-modern branch of C&B is an ember-bright orange bar, glowing like a homing device for the sharp-suited lawyers who pile into this vast, refectory-style venue. Wine is the focus here, & the bar cheekily provides a cheat’s guide entitled ‘wines to impress’ if you’re entertaining clients. If you’re dining them at lunchtime, too, the brasserie-style menu promises everything from posh sandwiches to pan-fried sea bass with fennel & crayfish served alongside a tangy orange salad. Breakfasts are often of the Champagne variety (if business is looking good) & the whole place can be hired for private bashes at the weekend.
