Vermilion & Cinnabar

I booked this restaurant 3 weeks before I was supposed to be going with 9 of my friends. I booked the table on the internet and then phoned a couple of days later to confirm my booking and confirm that I had booked a cocoon in the bar area for afterwards. I was told that everything was booked. A couple of hours before I was due to go to the meal I get a call from the restaurant to say did anyone say anything about a £50 deposit and would I pay that now. I was also asked whether anyone had said anything about a set menu which they had not. To make matters worse I was then asked what time I wanted the cocoon for. I explained that I had been told previously that this was already booked. The girl put me on hold and then told me there was none left.I spoke to the manager who had this couldn't care less attitude and didn't seem to care that I had been told 3 weeks prior that it was all booked. He offered nothing in the way of compensation and said if a booth became available later that night I could have that. He however was still happy to take my money for the meal!! Having felt messed about so much I cancelled an went elsewhere. I will never be booking a table at this restaurant again. Absolutely no consideration for their customers.
