Scandinavia is all the rage in London – clothes, furniture, interior design and now food. The clean-lined Nordic Bakery cafés excel at simple, honest food, priced to be an affordable treat and good enough to look forward to on the next visit. The rustic Finnish cinnamon buns are the must-haves, but there is very tasty Swedish Tosca cakes and Norwegian custard skolleboller too, best washed down with the excellent coffee served here. Those after something more savoury have more than the inevitable gravlax, smoked salmon and herring to choose from, such as Danish salami and cheese, Swedish meatballs and Jarlsberg with pickled gherkins.
