Tooting residents are lucky to have such a characterful pub to call their own. The Antelope (part of the Antic chain) is a proper boozer, where customers are welcomed whether eating or drinking.

rillettes & lamb stew with mash share space with Gorgonzola ravioli & hake with aïoli. For pudding, ices come from the Battersea Ice Cream Union. Prices are fair, & quirky light

We decided to try The Antelope, a 10 minute walk from our new house. We’d been in before for a quick drink and it seemed like your typical pub. We weren’t expecting that much from the food but we ended up being very surprised!The dining area of The Antelope is separate from the drinking sections of the pub, with lots of dark wood, quirky plates and candles. Again, we were expecting the menu to be quite basic (burgers and so on) but we were pleased to see lots of different options on there, for very reasonable prices. By the way, you’ll have to excuse the quality of the photos – it was quite dark in there...
