Square Meal Review of Lupita ?

It may be situated right next to Charing Cross station, but Lupita transports you all the way to Mexico City with its vibrant take on authentic Mexican cuisine. Both this and the Spitalfields branch are related to Mexico’s famous taquería El Farolito, so tacos are a must-try: our favourite is spicy campechano topped with steak, chorizo and pork chicharrón. There’s much else besides, as the extensive menu takes in hearty tinga beef burritos, melting quesadillas stuffed with shredded chicken and smoky chipotle, tostadas and zesty ceviche, plus specialities such as the Mayan-influenced slow-roast pork dish panuchos de cochinita pibil. Mexican beers, Margaritas and a selection of Tequilas and mezcals add to the choice, with finger-licking churros con chocolate a final temptation. Service from cheerful staff is always on the money, though delivery and takeaway are available if you’re heading for the last train home.

Our waiter was really friendly and helpful! We basically let him choose the dishes for our meal and he didn’t disappoint us!...

Forks-Up Restaurant Reviews :: Lupita Restaurant Review

My dining partner and I popped in to Lupita for a quick pre-theatre pit-stop one Friday evening before a show at Trafalgar Studios, giving me the perfect opportunity to write another restaurant review. Lupita fits a lot in to a comparatively small space – we were given a window table, where we sat side by side on a narrow but surprisingly comfortable bench, facing into the restaurant with a view of the bar that surrounds the open kitchen.

As we were relatively short on time, my dining partner and I decided to skip the starters and go straight in with main course. The menu runs the gamut of Mexican...
