battuta di manzo (steak tartare) are perfectly executed, while the signature dish of Scotch Black beef piled high atop a piece of bone marrow lets the quality of each ingredient sing. Service is
‘attentive but not intrusive’, and the little extras such as live music in the evenings,and a brilliant regional wine list make this easily the ‘best Italian in the City’.
Taste of London is upon us yet again. We’ve been every year since 2007 (oh dear, we’re such pigs!). Like Christmas it comes once a year, and like Christmas you start looking forward to it well in advance of the actual due date. Sometimes it disappoints (too many people & bad weather), most of the times it delivers on expectations. We couldn’t care less about the events (if you ask me, they should free up the extra space and invite even more restaurants to participate), but the food…well, that’s a different story all together...

The private dining room imitates a Cistercian crypt with its high curved ceiling and limestone walls, offering guests a truly intimate and memorable experience. This room can seat up to fifteen people, and guests are able to select from a specially created private dining menu.
The L’Anima mezzanine tables allows guests to enjoy the flavours of the private dining menu in their own section of the L’Anima restaurant, whilst still enjoying the atmosphere of the dining room floor. The Mezzanine can accommodate up to eight guests on one round table or 12 guests on one square table.
Through a clear door, guests can enjoy the views of the bustling bar while dining amongst the tantalising wine racks filled with treasures from Italy. The wine cellar can accommodate up to seven people and guests are able to dine A la Carte.
