This is an unpretentious retro-rustic trattoria with mock vaulted ceilings, plastic gingham tablecloths & cheerful, busy waiters. What they’ve saved on the interior, they’ve passed on to the
customers, & the resulting happy hubbub of unfleeced diners is a joy to be part of. The cooking’s nothing special, but good enough to suffice, with properly made risottos & mouthwatering
piles of grilled peppers & aubergines. Pizzas are fine & pastas generous & flavourful – perfect for an informal lunch with colleagues or a bargain pre-theatre dinner at £8.45 for two
courses. Finish, if you can, with the ‘prize-worthy’ tiramisu.
