Squaremeal Review of Caravan King's Cross ?

The King’s Cross location and larger scale of Caravan’s second branch makes its industrial-themed decor of open pipework, metal girders and concrete floors more convincing than at the Exmouth Market original. Part of the fetching Granary Square development, which now houses Central St Martin’s College, the restaurant offers an eclectic run-through of modern dishes from the Mediterranean and Middle East typified by interesting pairings of niche ingredients – from mellow goats’ curd set off by in-their-prime nectarines and sweetly braised onions or a colourful scrum of tomatoes, chickpeas and flatbread pieces accompanied by yoghurt and sorrel to scallop ceviche with sharp lime, sweet-sour tomatillos and a chilli kick. With delectable brunch options (think coconut bread with lemon-curd cream cheese and strawberries), renowned home-roasted coffees, small plates, large plates and everything in-between, Caravan is a true all-rounder.

Rate My Bistro :: Rate my Bistro - Cafe , Restaurant and Bistro Reviews! | Caravan Kings Cross

Birthdays are always good to be celebrated but sometimes the organising of such an event can require some time. Hence together with a friend, we decided to plan a birthday dinner for a close friend. Originally Grain Store was suggested but as it was fully booked even though the booking was tried to be made a few weeks before the event, the next option was Caravan next door.

The area in and around Kings Cross and the canal has undergone a big change compared to a few years ago. The regenerated area has made way for Granary Square, “grass” covered stairs, deckchairs and playful fountains. Granary Square has...

Emma Rose Tully :: Review: Caravan, King's Cross | Daydreamer

Caravan has a reputation for putting on a good brunch spread. Although they don’t take reservations at weekends, if you’re not battling a hangover it’s easy to get there just before opening at 10am. We did exactly that on a rainy Sunday morning, joining a small gaggle of equally clever diners outside the restaurant.

Hidden in Granary Square behind King’s Cross St. Pancras station, if you haven’t visited the area before be sure to follow Caravan’s walking instructions available on their website. Despite the rain, Granary Square is a lovely space with over 1000 choreographed fountains and a set of canalside...

Got To Be Gourmet :: Got To Be Gourmet Caravans Kings Cross

I first went to Caravan in Kings Cross a couple of summers ago with friends, and loved it. But being a bit out of the way (it’s tucked away behind the station in the Granary Building), it’s not the most obvious place to think of going – but it’s always worth it. We took a long (2 hour) walk along Regents Canal from our flat in East London to Kings Cross, so we’d certainly worked up an appetite by the time we arrived! As always, it was incredibly busy (you can’t book a table for brunch at weekends) and there was a rather ridiculous one hour wait for a table. Luckily they told us we could also eat at the bar, where...

Barrafina: Worth the wait | KOJO London :: Caravan Kings Cross

Caravan is an eclectic restaurant located in the recently revitalised neighbourhood of King&s Cross. As you will soon notice, I&ve had a little food tour of restaurants in this area (reviews coming soon). This time round, I was joined by KW for an evening chow.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere at Caravan. The restaurant actually used to be an old grain store evident by its large space, tall ceilings, wooden interior along with the industrial and warehouse-y vibes. To summarise the ambience, I felt like I was eating in rather a sophisticated and rustic canteen (if only schools could adopt those vibes).
