notice it by day, but you can’t mistake the animated hubbub emanating from its relaxed, monochrome dining room in the evening. Photos signed by celebrity patrons and Italian greats provide a
regular talking point among the neatly laid tables, while the kitchen deals in regional standbys with a Venetian bias – fettuccine with scallops and baby artichokes, wild boar sausages with
polenta, sea bass ‘al cartoccio’ and trattoria desserts such as tiramisu or zabaglione. There are also some top-flight Italian wines to match the food. Owner Roberto Ziani and his ‘charming’
waiters stoke the atmosphere with dolce vita, welcoming everyone with open arms.
