Converted from an old clothing warehouse, this funky metropolitan brasserie and bar is arguably the liveliest spot in Southport, and has recently been give an extra lift with the arrival of
chef/proprietor Matt Worswick from Michelin-starred Glenapp Castle in Scotland. The cooking pulls in fashionable
ideas from home and abroad, with native flavours and tricksy touches going hand in hand. Charred white asparagus is paired with crispy duck egg and smoked maple, while poached hake appears
alongside lobster farfalle and baked celeriac. Elsewhere, Southport shrimps pop in company with citrus-cured mackerel, pavé of lamb comes with leek heart, cockles and borage, and desserts might
feature Worswick’s signature burdock-root crème brûlée with bitter chocolate sorbet. Warm, stylish interiors create a cool, urban vibe within split-level space, with light jazz and easy classics
providing the soundtrack.
