Square Meal Review of The Viaduct Tavern ?

This cornerhouse Victorian in marble & granite was built on the site of Giltspur Comptor, a debtor’s jail linked to Newgate Prison (five empty lock-up cells still remain in the cellar). Do take the opportunity to admire the beaten-copper ceiling, which is spectacular. Formerly a gin palace, this is now a Fuller’s pub devoted to its ales. Don’t be tempted by the sausages on a stick.
