Beef lovers are well catered for in this part of town, but The Steak Exchange is holding its own among stiff competition. Smartly turned out with its burgundy colour scheme, this Davy’s-owned venue
sources its steaks from blue-chip supplier Donald Russell, and they are the main draw here – aged up to 28 days and then sizzled on the char-grill. The menu has been bolstered by a few additions
over the past year, too, so expect to see chicken cordon-bleu burgers and pulled-pork buns with winter slaw, while early risers can tuck into eggs Benedict or a full English. Readers are quick to
praise the ‘excellent’ food and ‘nice buzz’, and the wine list ticks all boxes, too. A decent choice of sticky puds and British cheeses rounds things off nicely.
