An atmospheric 16th-century inn where quaint old furniture provides comfort beside the open fires, & tables outside offer the prospect of bosky hillside views. Best of all, the Nobody boasts a
competent kitchen serving hearty British food. Bar meals bring game terrine, garlicky mussels in white wine & cream, fish & chips & ploughman’s, which take advantage of a glorious
selection of West Country farmhouse cheeses. If you fancy dinner in the restaurant, expect to be well fed from a menu that touts the likes of pan-fried pigeon breast on rocket with walnut dressing
ahead of Creedy Carver duck with gooseberry sauce, rack of lamb, or kiln-roast salmon on bubble & squeak with a local free-range egg. A well-stocked cellar carries about 250 bins, & there
are more than 200 different malt whiskies on display.
