With graffiti artist China Mike's graphic novel-esque street scene along one wall of the niftily presented bar, this is Bristol in grown-up mood. The Colour Inn (formerly Whitelock and Grace) set
out its stall at the top of the steps leading to Clifton Down train station in December 2010, with the promise of self-styled ‘cultured cocktails’ for the commuting classes & connoisseurs
alike. Expect a neat selection of Champagne mixes, highballs, sours & punches, as well as Somerset ciders & beers. The drinks menu has veered in a ‘molecular’ direction since the bar was
renamed (think foams, caviars & suchlike); however, punters are still happy to sip classic creations such as a ‘delicious sour' of local cider, brandy, peach & lemon.
