This pub in the riverside village of Bisham is run by a French family who remain true to their Gallic roots in gastronomy, but preserve the feel of a small English country pub in all else. Fish is
a particular speciality, with the restaurant serving four varieties of dover sole as well as cooked-to-order lobster. Alternatively, push the boat out with chateaubriand for two or opt for the more
exotic grenouilles (frogs legs). Although excellent value, the set lunch can be somewhat bland. Penny-pinchers can instead head for the comfortable bar area, where an extensive bistro menu is both
interesting and well priced.
