Previously known as Soho Diner - and before that Bohème Kitchen & Bar - the guys from Soho House Group have revamped this West End outpost of Notting Hill’s Electric Diner to create an on-trend
haunt that muddles American diner chic with a touch of mismatched furniture gastro-cool. The menu ranges from avocado or eggs on toast to steaks and burgers for those wanting a main meal, with the
latter being particular highlights boasting fat medium-rare and full-flavoured patties on our visit. Smaller bites such as nachos or oozy and moreish ham and cheese fingers are on hand for those
wanting something to nibble on while exploring the drinks list, which includes a good line in beers, wines and cocktails. A variety of martinis (from the classic to a chilli and mango) are a
signature, along with mojitos, negronis and a few other cocktails available on tap. Weekend brunches and Sunday roasts are available, while the bar is open until 3am from Thursday to Saturday.

The space is an eclectic mix of comfy sofas, leather booths, wooden panelling and distressed-chic floor. The overall effect is very cool and inviting...

Soho Diner is the little brother to the Electric Diner, which launched December 2012 in Notting Hill. Soho Diner is similarly a creative collaboration between Nick Jones and Brendan Sodikoff. Considered one of Chicago’s primary culinary trend setters, Brendan owns Chicago restaurant Au Cheval, the inspiration for both diners, which Nick discovered on a trip to the US last year...

I’m going to make this post a little more concise than usual (this may be a relief for some). Firstly because I want to get this review out there as quick as I can. And secondly because every aspect of this standard-raising casual, yet sexy and sophisticated American style diner is so easy and instant that there’s not too much I can waffle on about...
