The manager: Mike is very unprofessional – a friend of mine called the restaurant during the lunch hour to place an order from the lunch menu- Mike took the order wrong (my friend expressed that she wanted a specific dish with added chillies) Mike assured her that he understood however, when my friend got her order it was wrong.
In most circumstances, this would have been treated as just ‘human error’ as these things can happen, however, when my friend went back to the restaurant to get the correct dish Mike was extremely hostile towards her to the point that he was shaking – my friend was not given the opportunity to speak as Mike kept on talking over her, in the end he turned his back and would not listen to her. Another colleague came over to speak to Mike (the manager) and he pushed him away –physically and expressed that no-one should talk to him! The other colleague kindly apologised on behalf of his manager’s appalling behaviour and got the correct dish thing she had ordered.
My friend was visibly upset by this- she felt very intimidated as all staff were men and the manager was very hostile unnecessarily, he even went far as to tell her to “write a bad review”… I AM APPALLED!!! Do not go here ! There are many places in London that serve great food accompanied by “great service”.
