vibrant blue accents – the dining room is always busy with local couples and families who flock for San Carlo's famous pastas and fresh pizzas. The kitchen offers an eclectic daily fish board, and
all dishes are made on site with the finest produce and ingredients, many sourced directly from Italy. Popular dishes include the spaghetti with shellfish, garlic and chilli in a tomato sauce with

It was my birthday this week so I booked the day off work and with one of my best friends in tow, headed over to Leicester for what I expected would be a quick hello as Aldo waved from the pass, followed by some average Anglo-Italian food smothered in tomato sauce and plastic Parmesan. Turns out I was wrong. San Carlo is a family run group of restaurants with authentic Italian food at its heart.
