Aimed at ‘radical thinkers, drinkers and hearty eaters', designer/owner Paul Daly’s latest slab of Americana is this live music venue/bar beside the Business Design Centre on chain-heavy Upper
Street – hence the security on the door. The ground-floor bar/diner deals in white-trash US food (corn dogs, burgers, ribs, mac and cheese etc), while a second bar serves the small-ish live lounge
to the rear, where a line-up of edgy indie/rock/garage thrashers are booked to entertain the young crowd. Sagres is the pick of the pedestrian lagers on tap; otherwise, choose from a more promising
range of bottled beers and affordable vino. Silver Patrón leads the tequilas on offer in a space inspired by Daly’s travels across Route 66, while leather booths, a rock-heavy jukebox, desiccated
animal skulls, video and neon art add to the road-movie vibe. A roof terrace is in the pipeline.
