It’s name meaning ‘the little madness’, Edinburgh’s La P’tite Folie is, in many ways, a very sensible dining option indeed. Its quirky set up simply oozes Parisian chic from every floorboard and
film poster, with deep red walls and dark wood furniture creating a warm, cosy vibe. It perhaps comes as little surprise that the mainstay of the La P’tite Folie menu then is the very best of
traditional French food – Moules Mariniere, sirloin steak with ‘beurre Maitre d’Hotel’ and so on – served in an unfussy way, cooked beautifully and simply. The wine list is as much an attraction as
the menu too, with a wide range of fine wines from around the world and, naturellement, from France itself.
